75 m² holiday chalets – equipped with accessible features
All the houses have been modernised to a high standard and thoroughly tested by no fewer than 10 groups of people with various disabilities – for example, people with multiple sclerosis or visual impairments, and wheelchair users. Six of our holiday chalets are fitted with ceiling hoists.
Kitchen and bathroom
The fully equipped kitchen contains flexible solutions for your family or group. It has a cooking hob, oven with Slide&Hide oven doors, dishwasher, fridge with small freezer compartment plus height-adjustable dining table and kitchen counter. The bathroom has a washing machine, shower, basin and height-adjustable toilet.
Bedroom
The bedroom is equipped with adjustable beds and has plenty of space all round. The building, whose front door is fitted with an access code, has a Smart TV in the main room and underfloor heating in the main room, kitchen, hall and bathroom. This is a holiday chalet designed with a focus on flexibility, space and opportunities for the whole family to spend time together.
Allergy-friendly
We have one allergy-friendly house with no log burner where pets are not allowed. Naturally, pet dogs and guide dogs are welcome in our other holiday chalets.

At Dronningens Ferieby, your group or institutional residents can enjoy a barrier-free holiday. Our accessible holiday units abound with smart solutions and daily living aids that give guests the freedom and energy to enjoy great experiences together. The holiday unit’s features include a dining table and kitchen counter, both with height-adjustable functions, plus a shower, basin and toilet. There is also ample space for daily living aids.
Accessible outdoor space
Our holiday chalets have accessibility factored into all solutions – both indoors and out. Disabilities and daily living aids are no obstacle! The area from the parking space in front of the holiday chalet is paved up to and all around the unit. The chalets are located near woods and Djursland’s best bathing beach, whose accessible bathing jetty enables wheelchair users to get right down to the water’s edge and dip their toes in the Kattegat.
Indoor and outdoor activities
The holiday chalets are surrounded by accessible facilities that invite guests to play and have fun in nature. For example, there is easy access to playgrounds, a bouncy pillow as well as hiking, mountain bike and jogging trails, and you can rent side-by-side tandem bikes and ordinary bikes. Designed with accessibility in mind, our holiday centre offers many exciting activities such as culinary crab fishing trips, beach outings, riding and creative workshops where your residents can have fun painting or enjoying music and dancing.
